🔌 API Integrations (Optional)
Connect a third-party Amazon data API to enable automatic price syncing and bulk-import lookups. Without an API, the site still works perfectly — you just paste ASINs manually and fill in product details yourself.
🌐 Which API should I use? Rainforest API (recommended, easiest): ~$50/mo for 10K lookups, sign up at rainforestapi.com. Has free trial. ASIN Data API (budget): ~$30/mo at asin.dataapi.io. Amazon PA-API (free but official): Requires Amazon Associates approval + your own backend (Cloudflare Worker). Ask me and I'll provide the Worker code separately.

What is this site?
It's a product review website. You write about products, link them to Amazon, and when someone clicks your link and buys something, Amazon pays you a commission (usually 1-10% of the sale).
How do I get my Amazon Affiliate Tag?
1. Go to affiliate-program.amazon.com
2. Sign in with your Amazon account
3. Fill in your website info (you can use this site's URL)
4. After approval, copy your "Store ID" or "Tracking ID" — it looks like yourname-20
5. Paste it in Settings → Amazon Affiliate Tag on this admin panel
How do I add a product?
1. Click Products tab
2. Click + Add Product
3. Fill in: Name, Brand, Price, Rating, Summary, Pros, Cons
4. Go to Amazon, find a product, copy its URL
5. Paste the URL in the Amazon URL field
6. Click 💾 Save Product
Done! It's now live on your site.
Where is my data stored?
All your products are saved in your browser (localStorage). This means:

⚠ Back up regularly! Use the ⬇ Export Data button at the top to download a JSON file. If you clear your browser data, your products will be lost.
💡 Tip: Export weekly, save the JSON to Google Drive or your computer.
How is the site deployed?
This site is live at buyersguide365.com, hosted on a Vultr VPS with nginx and a small Node.js backend. Everything you save in the admin panel stays in your browser AND is sent to the server when you publish.
1. Make changes in Products / Categories / Settings → saved automatically to your browser.
2. Click "📤 Publish to Live Site" in the Dashboard header to push your edits to buyersguide365.com.
3. Back up regularly with "⬇ Export Data" — downloads a JSON file you can keep safe.
How do I make money?
• Write good reviews → people search Google for "[product] review" → land on your site
• They click your "Buy on Amazon" button → goes to Amazon with your affiliate tag
• If they buy anything within 24 hours, you earn 1-10% commission
• More traffic = more clicks = more sales = more money
